Parish Council History

Thanks to the recent History Weekend organised by Joan Moore and held in St Michael's Church as part of the fund raising for the renovations it has become possible to go back a few years with the composition of the Parish Council.

1915  The Rev C J Vincent (Chairman), J Pritchard, J H Gill, H Morgan, J Watkins and R Norton.  The Clerk was W J Reeves

1927  E E Jackson (Chairman), A Beaumont, J H Gill, W Rhodes & B C Williamson.  The Clerk was W J Reeves

1944  J H Gill (Chairman), A Beaumont, H Holden, Sam Lloyd and R E Jones.  The Clerk was B C Williamson

NB Assuming the same J H Gill he had by 1944 served at least 29 years

1949  R E Jones (Chairman), H Holden, J S Shaw, F Griffin.  Clerk was B C Williamson
